SISSONVILLE HIGH SCHOOL BAND

We will be hosting an auction in the SHS Cafeteria on Saturday, May 19th starting at 5pm. Students should report to the school at 3pm for set-up. We will need some parents and student to work this event. 

We will have a car wash at Advance Auto on Saturday, May 19th from 8-2pm.

The following students are scheduled to work:

We will be raffling two WVU season football tickets from now until June 10th. Each ticket is $5, and you do not have to be present to win. Drawing will be held on June 15th and broadcast live on Facebook. Each student has been given 20 tickets to sell. This fundraiser is all profit, so please participate.

We will be hosting a fundraisier auction sponsored by The Auction Block on March 24th at 6pm-10pm.

The following students have been assigned to work the auction: Eli, Kaylee, Josh, Whitney, Ashton, and Brooke F. 

Students will be assisting with set-up, merchandising, concession, and clean-up. 

We will also need 2-4 parent volunteers to help with concessions.

Payments for WVU Honor Band are due Wednesday, Feb.7th. The cost is $70 per students. This will cover the cost of the hotel and registration. The boosters will cover addition travel expenses. Please bring money for food. Breakfast will be provided. 

Show Band will perform at Winfield HS this weekend. Report time is 2pm. Performance is at 3pm. Finals will begin at 7:15pm. You should report to Mr. Miller when you arrive. He will provide you with further details about the schedule. 

Congratulations to all of our students that represented the Pride of Sissonville this past weekend at the Region 3 Solo & Ensemble Festival.

All trophy sponsor forms are due on Friday, Oct 6th. This counts as your required October fundraiser. Please make sure you sell at least 1 trophy. Thank you.

We have a football game at Poca HS on Friday, 9/29. Report time is 6:30 at PHS. We will not be taking a bus for this game. Pick up time TBA. 

Saturday, we will be competing in the Whirlwind of Music festival at Hurricane HS in the morning, and the Heritage Music Festival at Poca HS. We will be traveling by bus to Hurricane. Report time is 8:30am at Sissonville HS. We will provide lunch for the students after awards at Hurricane (12:30ish). We will then travel by bus to Poca HS for the Heritage Festival. We perform at 5:15pm. Students will be permitted to leave following our performance, but only after the trailer has been loaded. Students will need a ride home from Poca HS. The bus will not be staying. Students are welcome to stay at Poca for awards but are not required. If you choose to stay, you must stay with the band.

Students will only be permitted to leave with their parents, and must be signed out. Students are not permitted to leave with other students. You may ride with another students' parents if you have a note from your parents. If you need a ride please let someone know, and we will help you make arrangements. Thanks
