We will be traveling to Buckeye Local High School for the St. Clairsville Show Choir Festival on Saturday, February 23rd. We will leave the school at 11am. Our preliminary performance is at 3:30pm and finals begin at 7:30pm. Awards are scheduled for 9:30pm. Assuming that we make finals, we will leave after our 2nd performance. Please your dress black.

OCT 12/13 EVENTS

FRIDAY, OCT 12: Sissonville v. Winfield at Home. We will need parents to work in the concession stand. If you hare available, please come out and help. For those with account balances from Band Camp, we are still offering Band Bucks for working in the concession stand. Please let Jen or I know if you can work on Friday.
We will also be setting up for our Rummage Sale on Friday. If you have items to donate to the sale, please drop them off in the cafeteria between 6pm-9pm, or directly after the game. We would like to have a parent or two in the cafeteria setting up during the game if possible. We will have students scheduled to set on Friday night following the game.
SATURDAY, OCT13: Rummage Sale. Our Fall rummage sale will be held in the cafeteria from 8am-2pm. Report time for students is 7am. Donations should be brought to the cafeteria on Friday night, but we will gladly take them on Saturday morning.
OCT 6 VikingFest

We will be traveling to Ripley HS for a competition on Saturday, Oct 6. Report time for students is 12noon (subject to change based on loading crew). We will depart SHS by bus at 12:30pm. Our scheduled performance time is 2:45pm. Awards are scheduled for 6:45pm. No one is permitted to leave Ripley HS early unless prior arrangements have been made, and you have just cause for doing so. We will return to SHS by bus following awards. ETA between 7:45-8:45pm. We will provide one meal following our performance, however you may want to bring money for the concession stand. Warm-ups are in so everyone is expected to wear their warm-ups after the performance. We will collect jackets for embroidering next Monday.
SEPT 29 Events

Report time is 9:30am. We will depart SHS at 10am. Estimated arrival at HHS is 10:30-10:40am. We perform at 12:25pm. Awards are scheduled to begin at 12:50pm. We will stop for lunch in Hurricane, so please make sure you have money. We will travel to Poca HS via bus. Our performance time is 5:45pm, afterwhich we will load the trailer and dismiss students. Students must be picked up from PHS. THERE WILL BE NO BUS BACK TO SHS. Students must be picked up by their parents/ guardians. A student may not ride with another student's parent unless a signed note has been given to Mr Green in advance. Students that wish to stay may do so under the supervision of the band staff.
Homecoming/ Concessions

The homecoming game scheduled for this Friday has been moved to Saturday at 7pm, and will be held at Laidley Field.
We will not be permitted to work concession for this event. In addition, Mr. Reedy has closed the field to athletic events and practices, therefore the soccer games scheduled for this week, and possibily next week, will be moved to Shawnee in Dunbar. Again, we will not be working concessions for these events.
The homecoming parade will go on as planned. Friday at 6pm. As of now, the band is not planning to attend the homecoming game, however that may change based on what our students want to do.
SEPT 21/22 Events

Friday, SEPT 21st we will be traveling to Elkview for the game against Herbert Hoover HS. Report time is 6:00PM. The bus will depart at 6:30PM. Estimated return time is between 10:30-11PM.
Saturday, SEPT 22nd we will be traveling to Ona, WV for the Cabell Midland Festival. Report time is 8:20AM. The bus will depart no later than 8:50AM. Our performance time is 11:00AM. We will return to SHS following our performance. Estimated return time is between 1:00-1:30PM.
Graduation 5/18

SHS Graduation will be held on Friday, May 18th at the Municipal Auditorium in Charleston. Students should report at 6pm in concert attire. Percussion, please arrive at 5:45 to unload equipment.
